Lourdes Ramos Living a Better Quality of Life After Fat Stem Cell Transplant

Five years ago, I published my first novel, titled The Mentor (Khanser,
2002). And what was striking about this novel was the futuristic
human gene therapy that provided a cure for my main character who
suffers from the debilitating disorder- Alzheimer's disease. Back
then for me, stem cells therapy for degenerative disorders such as
that of Alzheimer's was still in the realm of fiction. I predicted
that five years later, it will become a reality. That was 2002, but
today, I was very much surprised and amazed to learn that stem cells
transplants, in particular, fat stem cells transplants, are here in
the Philippines, and that there are now a number of patients who
have undergone the procedure. Indeed, my prediction came true.
